For an inexpensive quick fix of West Indian fusion cuisine, head to Ali’s Roti at Roxbury Crossing. From curry to dried fruits and nuts, the menu of meats and vegetables focuses on flavors from Africa, Mexico, India and Spain. The nostalgic 70s era storefront is a throwback to an earlier time and the interior is small, so be patient as this spot can fill up quickly at lunchtime. The main events are the popular goat and signature crêpe-like roti, overstuffed with cabbage, potato and chickpeas.
