Bordering Las Vegas and Green Valley in Henderson, this charming 32-seat bakery and bistro presents variations of authentic French specialties. Dinner begins with a basket of baguettes and butter. For starters, we like the French onion soup gratinée, the signature Caesar salad and the warm goat cheese with romaine, walnuts, sun-dried tomatoes and black olives. Among entrée specialties, try the roasted salmon with polenta, sautéed zucchini and Chardonnay sauce, and the warm polenta topped with tomato-basil sauce and goat cheese paste. Coq au vin and steak au poivre with gratin dauphinois and peppercorn sauce are among other options. So are the quiche Lorraine stuffed with bacon and shredded Swiss cheese and the zucchini-wrapped poached salmon mousse with white rice. Croque monsieur and various quiches are featured for lunch. Chocolate-crusted mango or pear and caramelized tarte Tatin shine for dessert.
