THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Ambra Restaurant Review:

Ditching her industrial modern location that was just too hard to find, chef Kelly Coggin relocated her successful Ambra to downtown Cartersville, northwest of Atlanta. There, it joins a nice line-up of surprisingly good dining establishments, joining forces with a fiercely traditional cluster of down-home restaurants. Energetic, creative and adventurous, at least for this market, Ambra brings casual contemporary cooking to a town accustomed to meat 'n' two for lunch. Now they come for, and appreciate, the fish tacos. Coggin made her reputation on pizzas and burritos, and they're here in their respective menu sections. The entire menu has been reproduced, with no additions yet, as Coggin, who was able to convince her entire kitchen crew to move with her, seeks a smooth transition before adding any new items. We re-tasted the grilled pork tenderloin, presented slightly pink as ordered, with tasty charros beans and a corn-mango relish and loved the replay. We still wish this wine list were more adventurous, and hold out hope that such will develop.
