THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Anaba Tea Room Restaurant Review:
Located within a high-end gardening shop---considered the place for tools imported from England, as well as antique and vintage-looking pots---this tea room is situated on the lower level. It also extends to the rooftop garden, outfitted with cherry-red and banana-yellow bistro seating and native wildflowers and grasses three months of the year (that's our favorite place to chill over made-from-scratch soups). Afternoon tea is its draw, and it includes a tiered platter stocked with miniature sandwiches, scones and crumpets as well as Devonshire cream and lemon curd. Dinner service amps up the options and portion sizes; we suggest the cilantro-lime-tossed noodles with Korean barbecue chicken and Chinese sausage. For dessert, try the ginger matcha tart topped with lemon zest. All teas come from Milwaukee-based Rishi Tea, which procures its loose-leaf from farms in Asia.
