THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Angel Restaurant Review:
Transformed from a scruffy Cajun joint to a burnished wood-lined pub, The Angel dishes up comfort food worthy of the role models back in England. The bangers for bangers and mash are locally produced, and an order brings out a fat pair with braised cabbage, delicious, freshly cooked mashed spuds and a delectable sauce spiked with Guinness. We also like the crispy fish 'n' chips, and for snacking, nothing beats the house-made potato chips topped with blue cheese. Lots of beers on tap and a short but well-selected wine list support these good efforts. On lovely Southern nights, the street-front patio brims with happy pub grubbers.
