THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Angolo DiVino Restaurant Review:
Angolo DiVino, or “divine corner,” is actually a cozy trattoria tucked away in the corner of a mini-mall on Santa Monica Boulevard, sharing it with Michael Ovitz's Hamasaku restaurant. The De Furia brothers, three Naples natives who all have considerable experience in the restaurant world, have teamed up to open what is their idea of a family-style restaurant. Salvatore and Carlo make sure you feel like you are having dinner at home, while Franco, the chef, longtime at Ago, prepares Northern Italian dishes. For appetizers, try the grilled calamari steak or the beef carpaccio before sharing an ultra-light pizza. Then choose from an extensive list of pasta and risotti unless you prefer a veal chop stuffed with Gorgonzola in a Barolo sauce or grilled sea bass with lemon olive oil. End with classic sweets such as Tarte tatin or chocolate cake. The wine list holds a number of interesting Italian selections.
