Annapurna Cuisine Restaurant Review:
Annapurna offers reasonably priced Indian cuisine that you can enjoy while watching Bollywood videos. Order the house specialty dosas, rice and lentil crêpes that are rolled up with a variety of fillings --- the lengthy selection includes curried spinach, roasted onions, stewed potatoes in a spicy sauce, and spicy hot chutney. A wide variety of dishes from several regions of the subcontinent is also available. Uthappams resemble fluffy pizzas, and we like the curries, such as yellow lentils fried with onion, tomatoes and spices, or eggplant cooked tender with tomatoes. Annapurna is known for its wide array of breads, including many flavors of naan, grilled buns, and multi-layered versions filled with butter and garbanzo beans. For dessert, consider the traditional carrot halwa, fresh grated carrot cooked in heavy milk and butter. Pair your meal with a refreshing mango-flavored lassi, a rose milkshake, or buttermilk seasoned with chili, salt and cilantro.
