Antica Pesa Restaurant Review:

Antica Pesa has called the beautifully winding and classically colorful neighborhood of Trastevere home since 1922, and it fits in perfectly with its fresco-covered walls and romantic garden. But ambience isn’t the only reason this is one of the most popular places to dine in Rome. The Panella family, who have owned and cooked at the restaurant since it opened, make their own creative and modern takes on traditional Roman fare like cacio e pepe, amatriciana and carbonara. With a wine cellar containing over 1,500 labels, it’s no wonder that Antica Pesa is frequented by locals, tourists and A-list celebrities. Of course, the dessert menu cannot be forgotten. Options are seasonal so depending on when you visit you might try sorbet in the summer or perhaps the chestnut millefeuille in the winter.
