Aphotic Restaurant Review:

The name Aphotic comes from Greek meaning “without light,” referring to the deepest depths of the ocean. Chef/proprietor Peter Hemsley presents an 11-course tasting menu of transparently sourced seafood, perhaps chamomile-cured halibut with favas and green strawberries. There is also a chef’s counter where parties of two can enjoy a seasonal 13-course menu. The wine cellar offers more than 2,000 selections, while the cocktail program features spirits distilled in-house.
