These suburban/urban Italian twins are the 1990s answer to the everytown pizza-and-pasta palace. The menu is long, winding, and, at times, winning. Tuna sashimi is a case study of the kitchen’s love of excess; it’s plated with---breathe deep--- arugula, honey, coconut wasabi and sesame seeds. Crespelle are filled with melted cheeses and smoky ham; carpaccio is rolled around local Hubbardston chevre and laced with truffle oil; and salmon is draped with a spinach pesto. We think the multi-cultural madness works best in the trendy South End location.
