Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar Restaurant Review

: Applebee's is ideal for the family set, but grown-ups also feel welcome in its homey environs. The walls are adorned with memorabilia from nearby University of Nevada Las Vegas as well as items from other neighborhood schools. A colorful Tiffany-style lamp hangs over each table. The pub-style bar offers the usual cocktails and a line of signature drinks with names such as Bananaberry Split created with Captain Morgan spiced rum, bananas, strawberries, pineapple and coconut. You'll find imaginative salads, burgers (one version sports pineapple, spicy sweet Asian chile sauce and Jack cheese) and sandwiches like the chicken fajita rollup. Among steaks is the nine-ounce Bourbon Street with Cajun spices and sautéed onions and mushrooms served with garlic toast. The Pub Diet menu (items are all under 600 calories) includes a pepper-crusted sirloin. Save room for the Blue Ribbon brownie or salted caramel pretzel bites.
