Asia Nine Restaurant Review:

Gaithersburg is home to the second location of Asia Nine, which has a setting that’s obviously Asian inspired and a menu offering select dishes from Japan and Thailand and a few from Vietnam and China. As far as the eats go, nothing is too eccentric or exotic to make patrons shy away. Perhaps the best way to approach the eclectic mix of options is to, well, mix it up. Start with the small, super crunchy veggie spring rolls and fried calamari. For an entrée, you can go all Japanese with orders of assorted sushi or chef’s special rolls. Alternatively, consider one of the signature items, such as Korean sizzling beef, Thai BBQ chicken and hoisin BBQ ribs. Rice and noodle mains also touch on a variety of Asian tastes. And if you like eggplant, go for the Thai eggplant gai sub. For a quirky dessert try the Japanese mochi ice cream: small scoops wrapped in a dough made from sticky rice.
