About the restaurant: The owner of several area Chinese restaurants, including Uncle Liu’s Hotpot in Falls Church, opened this elegant Chinese and sushi establishment near Tysons II.

Likes: Authentic Sichuan flavors.

Food & Drinks: Featured is an array of authentic Sichuan dishes that are native to the owner’s homeland. Some of the appetizers, such as the beef tendon and tripe or the Sichuan pepper kidney, may sound too exotic for some patrons. But the menu is also loaded with Western-friendly fare, from homemade spring rolls with shrimp to Kung Pao chicken, shrimp and scallops in a hot pot, and tofu and vegetable soup and the combo of fried rice and lo mein. Another draw is the skillful presentations, and each dish has been artfully arranged. That plus the classy décor and the extensive wine choices certainly contribute to the appeal.
