THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Atlantic Bar & Grill Restaurant Review:

When Atlantic Bar and Grill first opened, London's fashionable crowd flocked through its doors. There was a bouncer only allowing the best-dressed, most beautiful people inside. It was, in short, the sine qua non of the London restaurant scene. The fact that it is still open, still doing good business and still considered a desirable place to drink or dine in is testament to its (then) youthful proprietor Oliver Peyton. Most people visit Altantic for the bar, where you will see pretty teenage girls flirting with famous footballers, but the restaurant itself should not be forgotten. The cooking under new chef Ben O'Donoghue, has been simplified since the early days. Try the likes of smoked Somerset eel to start; swordfish, and confit of Gressingham duck with Suffolk Blackshin rasher. Décor is 1920s liner style (hence the name). Set 3-course lunch £14.50, dinner Mon.-Fri. 6 p.m.-7 p.m. £14.50, 3 courses £16.50.
