THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Au Gourmet de l'Isle Restaurant Review:
Tucked into the heart of the Ile de Saint-Louis is this quintessentially Parisian bistro with classic lace curtains, rough-timbered ceiling, mustard walls lined with local cityscapes, and tables topped with white linen and candles. Extraordinarily reasonable prix-fixe dinners---complete with a more than drinkable wine---include items like an earthy rabbit terrine, delicious escargot cassoulet (a miniature but filling gratin of snails and lardon bathed in a sublime cream), lamb sweetbreads in port wine sauce, and duck confit forestier. Diners finish with a small but nicely presented cheese plate, profiteroles or tarte Tatin.
