Au Petit Tonneau Restaurant Review:
Georges Simenon, the renowned writer, used to dine in this bistro three decades ago, and a brass plate fixed on the wall pays tribute to him. Nowadays, it’s Arlette Iga who presides over this hallmark. The setting hasn’t changed in memory of the good old days --- there’s a bar, tile floor, banquettes and red and white checked tablecloths. Some of the hearty fare includes pan-fried chanterelle mushrooms, porterhouse steak with pepper sauce, and caramel cream. The kind staff and the well-stocked cellar add to the agreeable nature of the place.
