Bahamian Club Restaurant Review:

Bahamian Club’s dining room is done in dark woods, low lighting, heavy-framed artwork and fine table settings. The menu offers meats such as Châteaubriand for two prepared tableside, bone-in rib-eye steaks, loin of Mountain States lamb and veal chops, but it also includes a selection of seafood and East Indian vegetarian fare. There's even a kids’ menu with pasta and grouper strips. Dishes range from those prepared in classic continental style to options with creative local flair, as in the pimento wood-smoked marlin with mango and johnnycake cracker among appetizers. Other seafood --- grouper, swordfish and shrimp --- is simply grilled. Sides present the usual steakhouse suspects, like creamed spinach and potatoes gratin, and golden plantains and peas 'n' rice evoking area culinary traditions, too. The wine list leans heavily on California vintages with few surprises. Try the sizzling caramel brownie skillet for dessert.
