Barbacoa Restaurant Review:

Barbacoa’s décor is a mishmash of cowhide upholstery, Medusa statues, various chandeliers, knotted wood and ceramic tile. It works for the most part, until the eye meets two digital portraits that fail to blend with the cirque-style elements. If the design is trying a bit too hard, the kitchen doesn't miss a beat. From smoky Argentine lamb kebabs and fruity swordfish pibil to the porterhouse with serrano chimichurri, everything on the menu, including the weekly specials, stimulates the eye and palate. And don't miss out on ordering the zesty guacamole, which is made to order tableside. With more than 100 varieties of wine, it's easy to choose something satisfying to complement your meal. Among traditional desserts are chocolate mousse and mango crème brûlée. Adding appeal is romantic rooftop seating overlooking the serene Parkcenter Pond from spring through autumn, and a two-for-one drinks and bar menu during happy hour.
