Blue Moon Beach Grill Restaurant Review:

Heading through the doorway, patrons won't have high expectations for this corner restaurant; once inside, however, they'll discover a very nicely done establishment that combines a large, upscale bar area, well-spaced tables and an open kitchen. Add to those attributes local artwork, a breezy décor and professional service. The lunch menu features many specialty sandwiches, including burgers, a blackened shrimp 'not a burger' with fried green tomato and provolone, the famous Blue Moon cheesesteak, po' boys, Caribbean pulled pork, and a mahi mahi BLT. Most sandwiches are also available for dinner along with flash-fried calamari in a white wine, lemon butter and cherry pepper sauce, buffalo shrimp, salads and appetizer specials like steamed mussels with greens, bacon and blue cheese. Entrée standards of crab cakes, bouillabaisse and a vegetable voodoo pasta join daily seasonal specials: soft-shell crabs with polenta cake or a fried scallop salad. Beverage choices also veer from run-of-the-mill with a range of draft beers, specialty cocktails and interesting wines by the glass.
