About the restaurant: Bobwhite Lunch & Supper Counter is a sleek, diminutive comfort food spot deep in the East Village. This counter (with a smattering of high tables) will satisfy a number of cravings, if you’re willing to brave potential wait times.
Food & Drinks: New initiates should be obligated to try the crunchy fried free-range chicken, served with a biscuit. Choose from sides like fries, coleslaw or collard greens. Other tummy-warming items include fried catfish, mac ‘n’ cheese and a fried chicken sandwich. For the health conscious, there are a couple salads on the menu, too. For dessert, indulge in a brownie or cookie. A small selection of wine by the glass and beer on tap is available.
