The Butcher's Table Restaurant Review:
Whether seated in a big leather chair at the bar, at the giant community table or in one of the dark booths in the downstairs dining area, this steakhouse believes that bigger is better: bigger seats, bigger fries (they’re basically giant beef-fat french fries), bigger menus, bigger light fixtures, and bigger meats (the bone-in smoked short rib is a monster). But in between the shiny chandeliers and giant hunks of four- and five-star meat, there’s a restaurant that lights up the appetizers with its raw bar and puts culinary thought into its salads. Even the bread course is a beef fat brioche with cayenne and smoked salt. Although the wine list is as big in size and flavor as behooves a steakhouse, the cocktails compete for top billing. Desserts lack the same panache as much of the menu, but you’ll find classics such as a chocolate budino.
