Café des Beaux Arts Restaurant Review:
Café des Beaux Arts is located on chic El Paseo. The restaurant is always teeming with locals and visitors in search of some authentic French fare. Never to disappoint, you’ll find an array of traditional dishes, including rabbit Dijonnaise and the house specialty bouillabaisse. Standout items are a very acceptable lamb Provençale and duck with fig sauce. The elegant lounge area, with its mix of cozy booths and a horseshoe-shaped bar, is the perfect place to nosh on small plates as you summon up the spirit of Edith Piaf. Champagne would seem the obvious drink of choice in a French bistro, but opt for a Paris martini made with vodka, Chambord and raspberry. If you want to see and be seen, request a table on the wraparound patio, where a parade of passersby are in full view.
