The Canteen Restaurant Review:

The Canteen brings Brooklyn style to Cape Cod with its casual counter service, communal tables, and upscale, modern salads and sandwiches. Not for the calorie-conscious, the restaurant’s menu features oversize sandwiches like kale and linguiça with cranberry chutney, steak and shrimp on grilled ciabatta and, a crowd favorite, the cod banh mi. There’s a brief raw bar menu, focused mainly on local oysters, and a few vegetarian options are also available. The wine list is small but well priced, as is an interesting and varied selection of beers and soft drinks. Those lucky enough to score a seat at one of the tables on the back patio can enjoy views of Cape Cod Bay while they dine.
