THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Cazbar Restaurant Review:
Who wouldn’t relish a visit to this lively Turkish taverna? Decorated with folkloric ceramics and sun-warmed colors, the dining room appealingly mixes urban hipness with ethnic coziness, and the kitchen delivers powerful flavors, whether you are dining on mezze --- small plates --- or multi-course feasts. For the full party-in-your-mouth effect, try an all-mezze meal, preferably with friends; choices include lahmacun (a beef-topped Turkish “pizza”), imam bayildi (a traditional dish of eggplant, onions, pine nuts and currants), manti (homemade meat dumplings with yogurt sauce), sigara borek (cigar-shaped pastries stuffed with feta) and many more. Yes, Cazbar has joined the food-truck bandwagon. But you’ll have to go to the restaurant proper if you want to see the belly dancers, who perform Fridays beginning at 9 p.m. and Saturdays at 10 p.m.
