Cinnaholic Restaurant Review:

Passionate animal-rights advocates (and husband and wife) Shannon and Florian Radke are the brains, hearts and hands behind Cinnaholic, which sells 100 percent vegan cinnamon rolls, brownies, cookies, coffee and pretty much nothing else. Baked by Shannon and especially popular with students from nearby UC Berkeley and Berkeley High School, these towering, softball-size spirals come with your choice of 26 different frosting flavors (including root beer, lemon, cream soda, chocolate, caramel, mango and almond) and 25 different toppings (including peaches, graham crackers, cookie dough, marshmallows and bananas). Depending on your outlook, they're either rhapsodically or can't-eat-this-in-one-sitting sweet. The owners take pride in using vegan sugar that hasn't been manufactured with bone char, a substance made from superheated animal bones and used to process conventional sugar.
