THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Coach Insignia Restaurant Review:

What some rooftop restaurants often lack in food quality, they make up for with a view. Coach Insignia, however, does not fit the mold. From the riverfront or downtown scenery, to the food and fine service, Coach has it all. Start with fried lobster corn dogs with Asian cabbage slaw and stone-ground honey mustard or the spicy tuna crudo. Then move on to the center-cut filet mignon with bordelaise sauce or Dijon-crusted rack of lamb. Other entrées might include lobster mac ‘n’ cheese and sautéed Michigan shrimp and scallops. The wine list offers sparkling options, dry whites and an extensive selection of reds. The sommelier will assist to ensure proper pairings. Beer lovers can order hand-foraged artisan brews such as Atwater "Dirty Blonde" Ale. Consider the cocktails, too, perhaps The Perfect Manhattan crafted with Woodward Whiskey, Cardamaro, Lillet Blanc and house cherry bitters. Don't miss out on the happy hour specials (Mon.-Thurs. 4 p.m.-7 p.m., Fri. 4 p.m.-7 p.m. and 9 p.m.-11 p.m.). Linger over a dessert, like the flourless chocolate cake or passion fruit crème brûlée, while enjoying the Detroit River vistas from more than 70 floors up.
