The Corner Pub Restaurant Review:

At The Corner Pub, a cooked-as-ordered burger may come with first-rate fries or a house salad with homemade dressing. Sandwiches are standouts, and main plates often are surprisingly good, with such choices as posole verde and cornmeal-coated fried catfish with collard greens and jalapeño cornbread. There's also grilled trout and on Mondays, these and other entrées are half price all day, making this one of the best deals in the metro area, especially as portions are not reduced in size. Vegetarian options are suitable for that customer. For snacking, sliders, hush puppies and nachos are among the delights. The short wine list is respectably composed, and there are many good beers. Drafts rotate, and may include brews from Decatur's own Blue Tarp and Three Taverns. For dessert, get the house-made ice cream (Oreo cookie and peanut butter). At brunch, consider the "hangover hash" featuring scrambled eggs on a bed of home-fries and pulled pork barbecue. Billiards anyone? Discover the table in the back.
