Dante Restaurant Review:

Dante is an intimate restaurant in a unique space (the former Third Federal Savings & Loan building), serving modern American cuisine with an emphasis on seasonal and local fare. Once you take in the setting (be sure to look up at the chandelier), we suggest starting with the house-cured meats or the crispy fried oysters, served with pickled jalapeños and a spicy sour cream. From there, don’t bypass one of the house-made pastas, especially the pappardelle bolognese. Among main courses, we recommend the flaky, black sea bass served with chorizo braised mussels and saffron potatoes. For dessert, opt for either the three-course tasting menu or the chocolate pomegranate torte. The cocktail and wine lists are both well written, if not slightly under-adventurous.
