The old Pioneer Square building that houses this sandwich shop mixes raw brick with modern finishes, much like how the menu's 25 sandwiches are divided between "traditional" and "progressive." We recommend the ShankLamb, which features a generous portion of flavorful braised and pulled lamb. Add roasted peppers and chive aïoli on toasted bread from the Essential Baking Company and it becomes a hands-down feast. The Gypsy Rose Lee comes in a close second, with its layers of prosciutto, fresh mozzarella and basil leaves, plus a drizzling of balsamic vinegar. Soups and salads are also available, including oyster chowder and a topnotch Caesar. To wet your whistle, there’s a good selection of microbrews, as well as a full bar. Order take-out or enjoy your choice at tables in the inviting restaurant.
