Five Mile Stone Restaurant Review:

Every neighborhood needs a late-night go-to, and Five Mile Stone fits the bill. The multi-level tavern stays open until the wee hours and transitions from a dinner menu to a late-night option, each spanning the globe. Dishes are fun and creative, mixing up nationalities with choices like a steak banh mi with jícama fries, cast iron chicken with mushroom risotto, a Nutella burger (made with jalapeños, brisket and Nutella) and smoked salmon tostadas. A rotating selection of craft beers, artisanal cocktails and a wide array of whiskeys are featured. The downstairs bar invites a lively night scene, while the wood-paneled frontier-style upstairs is better suited for dining and conversation (although weekend evenings can be quite boisterous). The restaurant sits in the heart of the Second Avenue subway pub area. Be sure to bring your I.D. as the place has a very strict door policy.
