The Freakin Incan Restaurant Review:

About the restaurant: The Freakin Incan offers Peruvian food in this suburban Atlanta town. Locals swarm here, making early arrival a good idea to secure a table. Otherwise, you may have to take a spot at the bar.

Food & Drinks: Don't miss the papas huancainas, an apt choice for a table to share. Boiled potatoes are sliced and napped in a queso fresco-based sauce spiked by aji amarillo. For the adventurous, there are anticuchos (skewered meats) of beef heart, a popular Peruvian street snack. We indulged in all three empanadas: lomo saltado, aji de gallina and queso. Crisp pastry enfolded well-seasoned fillings, making a fine snack or with a cup of Peruvian chicken soup, a nice light meal. Rice pudding for dessert is among the options, although this may be your opportunity to try alfajores, a shortbread cookie stuffed with dulce de leche. For quaffs, there's beer and the bar makes a great pisco sour. Also located at 4905 Alabama Rd. NE, Ste. 340, Roswell, 770-592-4420.
