Gaucho Canary Restaurant Review:

Gaucho Canary follows the now well-known Gaucho formula of top beef served in an over-the-top setting. This branch has the added advantage of a great riverside location, with tables on the terrace for summer dining. All the restaurants share the same menu, with the likes of pan-fried scallops with black pudding, cauliflower and cumin oil, chopped chicken livers on toasted sourdough with an endive and shallot dressing, empanadas, risottos, salads and ceviches providing the starters for what is the raison d'être of the chain, top class, beautifully cooked Argentinean steaks. There are alternatives, but why go here and not sample the sirloin or rib-eye? If you can, save room for a dessert of banana cake with prune-speckled passion fruit sauce --- as exotic as it sounds. The wine list is topnotch with some exciting Argentinean wines you won't find anywhere else.
