Georgia's Restaurant Review:

Georgia’s serves as the main dining venue for The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee, serving breakfast daily (a buffet on weekends) and dinner several nights a week. Located an hour and a half from downtown Atlanta, the resort is built in the manner of a mountain lodge, and embraces an idyllic spot on the shores of man-made Lake Oconee. The restaurant focuses on farm-to-table fine dining and utilizes local and regional foodstuffs like North Georgia’s Logan Turnpike Mill grits, Benton’s country ham from Tennessee, and cheeses such as Asher Blue from Sweet Grass Dairy in Thomasville, Georgia. Roasted chicken, cornmeal-crusted fish, braised short ribs and steak typify the offerings. Buttermilk pie, a Southern classic that's rarely seen, is the signature dessert. The rather limited wine list features a number of decent by-the-glass selections. Breakfast can be an opulent affair with regional touches, as seen in the Southern pecan waffles. The view of Lake Oconee makes it one of the state’s most romantic dining rooms.
