Honey Pig Restaurant Review:

Honey Pig specializes in pork belly cooked tabletop Korean-style. Go with at least one companion, as you won't be able to cook at the table if you go solo; instead, your food will be prepared in the kitchen. First, decide what to order; we suggest the specialty, but beef, including beef intestines for the adventurous, and seafood are options. A cold tofu-studded kimchi soup arrives to start the meal (you may want to take a quart home for future enjoyment). A pile of sprouts lands firmly on the center-of-table grill. Sauces and embellishments come in a tripartite bowl. Take some of everything and wrap it in one of the cellophane noodle squares you're provided and enjoy. On our last visit, however, the meats seemed to lack the flavor we'd experienced in the past. Beer is the best libation with this food, although there is wine, saké and tea as well. Dessert is not an option. The bright, modern interior emphasizes industrial elements as part of its décor, and the music is a lively Korean rock beat, somewhat dance hall in style, and frankly can get a bit overwhelming.
