THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Ida B's Table Restaurant Review:

About the restaurant & décor: Inspired by the outspoken, pioneering journalist Ida B. Wells from the early 1900’s, this modern soul food restaurant focuses on a commitment to sourcing local products with a preference for non-GMO foods, organically grown and seasonal. The contemporary digs boast a metal-tiled open kitchen, wood floors, exposed brick walls and an industrial ceiling with numerous large, dropped circular shaded lights that brighten the space.

Food & Drinks: Join the happy hour revelers indulging in craft cocktails like 100 Days, 100 Nights (bourbon, Calvados, peach, Amontillado sherry, lemon, iced lemon tea syrup) and enjoying the deviled egg trio with crispy chicken skin, pork belly and pickled vegetables. Maybe you want a local brew on tap to partner with the black-eyed pea hummus. Join in at the communal table or grab one for your own party. Start off with the crispy curry wings or the interpretation of sushi, Southern-style with dirty rice, blackened chicken, pickled vegetables and a collard wrapper. A don’t-miss is the pork chop served with Carolina Gold rice perloo and roasted heirloom carrots in a lightly spicy sauce whose secret ingredient is potlikker. Whether it’s because of the biscuits to kick off your dinner or the sweet endings such as brown sugar pie, you are sure to walk away with a Southern accent.
