The Inlet Cafe Restaurant Review:

Nestled into a neighborhood at water’s edge, The Inlet Café looks like a locals’ hangout, and, in a way, it is. But what sets this Jersey Shore gem above the rest is the unfussy seafood preparations with thoughtful presentation. Inlet clams are a baker’s dozen of bivalves, steamed open in luscious garlicky herb and white wine broth, the rim of the big white crockery bowl dusted with sea salt and spices. Immense toasted baguettes come on the side, perfect for dipping. Salads are generous with imaginative combinations such as marinated shrimp, scallops and crab tossed with baby greens and Caesar dressing. Entrées are based on fresh fish and shellfish, but Inlet is famous for LobsterMania---market-priced lobsters. The wine list is respectable and fairly priced. Desserts, if you can manage room, are belly-busters---try the fried cheesecake. After your meal, have a beverage and enjoy the spectacular view of Sandy Hook Bay.
