Jardin Restaurant Review:

Jardin is French for garden, and in line with the name, this casual eatery features a conservatory-like setting with large windows, a huge vase of flowers in the middle of the room and hues of white and gold showcasing a sophisticated elegance. Al fresco dining is via two outdoor patios that overlook Encore’s pool and the XS nightclub. The breakfast menu includes classics like eggs Benedict and non-traditional duck confit hash with kale and hollandaise l’orange. A good beginning for lunch is Grandmother’s chicken meatballs, baked in tomato sauce and ricotta; or lump crab and guacamole with grapefruit emulsion. Carnivores will like the Tuscan short ribs with creamy polenta or charred filet mignon topped with chimichurri sauce and plated atop parsnip purée. Truffle mac ‘n’ cheese bites is a splurge-worthy side. Complementing the cuisine are wines hailing from Napa as well as Spain, France and Italy. Save room for the butterscotch maple bourbon pudding with bourbon maple cream and bacon almond brittle; or the “Fleur” chocolate cake with layered dark chocolate mousse and moist chocolate cake that’s presented in a realistic looking edible flower pot.
