Liquid Ginger Restaurant Review:

Far from the maddening crowds of university students, yet hip to the trendy downtown beat, Liquid Ginger’s interior is a contemporary, clean-lined space in which you can dine on a plethora of pan-Asian fusion dishes in pleasant tranquility. Black lacquer furniture recalls more traditional Asian-styled eateries but the wafting smells of curries hint at the worldly flavors found on the menu. As you chill out in a booth equipped with vibrant-hued throw pillows (and listen to the trickle of the fountain), you can choose among cuisines from China, Thailand, Korea, India and Malaysia---all of which feature an entrée served with soup, salad, dessert and a hot beverage. Indulge in the crispy breaded tilapia or coconut-curry tofu---just wash it down with one of the specialty sakés. If you really want to be impressed, check out the drink menu---cocktail choices are equaled (or possibly surpassed) by the diverse selection of tea. It’s a good thing the drink list is long, because service can be a bit slow. This is one restaurant where you don’t have to worry about getting kicked out as soon as the plates are taken away.
