THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Little Pine Restaurant Review:

Edged along Rowena Boulevard's funky strip of shops and cafes in Silver Lake is where you'll find Little Pine. This sparse and simply outfitted restaurant was founded by DJ, musician and dedicated vegan Moby. Drawing inspiration from a cabin in the woods (albeit one with mid-century modern accents), the 58-seat restaurant is a spot primed for the eco-conscious Eastside crowd. Vegan dishes are focused on Mediterranean-inspired California fare such as the deliciously savory wild mushroom bruschetta with caramelized onion spread; stuffed shells with roasted artichoke, pesto, spinach and house-made cheeses; and roasted tomato agnolotti with truffle cream sauce. The organic wine list is fairly extensive and French intensive, and there are some beer selections and plenty of tea options. As for dessert, the lime cheesecake --- a dreamy disc of cool, creamy, tangy custard topped with candied almonds --- is not to be missed.
