Macallans Public House Restaurant Review:

About the restaurant: Most of the affects you’d want at an Irish pub can be found at this downtown Brea joint. Comfortable lounge seating, exposed brick walls and not-too-loud music are present, as is a lengthy bar that is well stocked with whiskeys and Scotches with labels that range from the familiar to the obscure.

Food & Drinks: The compact menu features contemporary spins on Irish and American bites. Begin your night out with a Scotch flight and a basket of oven-baked pretzels with rosemary butter, or a plate of "animal style" poutine topped with corned beef and grilled onions. Celtic classics such as the fish ‘n’ chips share main menu space with burgers and North American fare like braised short ribs with black truffle mashed potatoes. Desserts are highlighted by the indulgent bourbon maple bread pudding. If you stop by on the weekends, you can dig into a traditional Irish breakfast while you check out the game on one of the eight TVs.
