Melvyn's Restaurant Restaurant Review:

Melvyn's Restaurant at Ingleside Inn has always been a favorite of Hollywood's elite. While trends changed, Melvyn's stayed the same, making it feel outdated the past few years. Then PlumpJack did a complete overhaul of the space (the new look still has a vintage vibe) as well as the menu. The old-school fare has been updated with some more au courant offerings. Start with the fried Brie, served with house-made jalapeño jelly, and lobster ravioli with fennel-Chardonnay cream sauce. Entrées include a Creekstone Farms' 12-ounce rib-eye steak with truffle bordelaise. The art of tableside dining still exists at Melvyn's, with such selections as Steak Diane, giving a nod to what made this restaurant so special to begin with. Choose from plenty of seafood and salads, too. Desserts, like bananas flambée and cherries jubilee, are also prepared tableside. The cocktails and wine list are toast-worthy.
