Monsoon, located in a mini-mall and with simple décor, offers a menu of authentic Northern Indian cuisine. Appetizers range from the expected samosas to garlic cauliflower with a sweet-and-sour sauce. Any of the vindaloos are a good entrée choice for those who crave heat, while lamb korma with cashews and almonds brings milder pleasures. The extensive vegetarian menu includes a subtle and complex navratan korma with nine vegetables and fruits that would tempt even the most implacable carnivore. Bhindi (okra) has a nice sear that adds a pleasing extra taste layer to the dish. Syrupy cheese balls are an addictive dessert. Looking for an inexpensive meal? The lunch buffet, priced at less than $10, is a deal.
