THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Oakwood Cafe at the Market Restaurant Review:

Kasey Carpenter spread out from his family’s Dalton, Georgia, restaurant of the same name to bring the concept to the State Farmers Market. The market's vegetable and fruit bounty enables the café to serve fresh produce year-round. Huge breakfasts deal in omelets and pancakes. You'll choose a meat and three or four vegetables for chump change, and the offerings depend on the day of the week you're there, although barbecue and seafood are available daily. If the tender, juicy pork loin is on the menu, go for it; we also like the smoked chicken. For dessert, try the banana pudding or the cobbler. In the fall and winter apple cobbler snuggled under a cookie-type crust is very good. No alcohol is served. Staffers address patrons as “Honey,” "Baby" and “Sugar” to make people feel welcome. Tourists zooming through Georgia on I-75 should make a point of stopping for a real feast. Also located at 201 W. Cuyler St., Dalton, 706-529-9663.
