Pizzeria Mozza Restaurant Review:

This Orange County offshoot of the Los Angeles pizzeria from Nancy Silverton anchors the southern end of Newport Beach's Mariners Mile. Aesthetically, it stays true to its L.A. roots, with sleek, minimal woods, clean earth tones and dark accents that echo the original locale's vibe. The ambience is well-suited to enjoying one of the pizzas, which are all prepared in a massive wood-burning oven. The deep roster of pies consists of classic styles interspersed with a few boasting unique toppings like fennel sausage and Prosciutto di Parma. But there’s more than just pizzas to this dining experience. Guests can also explore bites like the octopus starter with cucumber and avocado, the tricolore salad with Parmigiano Reggiano and anchovy dressing, tagliatelle with prosciutto or an Italian dessert, perhaps the butterscotch budino. Consider, too, snuggling up close to the oven by grabbing a seat at the hearthside bar and selecting a glass of wine from the Italian-centric list.
