Cozy fireplaces and an open kitchen set the stage here, where owner Antonio Corsi welcomes guests like family. The signature experience is the antipasto platter ($18 per person) with no fewer than a dozen items, ranging from grilled radicchio bocconcini, prawns and Dungeness crab, to grilled calamari steak. Among the pastas, a must-try is the cheeky "for Italians only” garlicky spaghetti Quattro. We also recommend the spaghetti pescatore with prawns, scallops, clams, fresh herbs, tomato and white wine. Pistachio-crusted sea bass, pressed Cornish game hen, and prosciutto-wrapped roasted veal chop are equally noteworthy. Chef Jeremie Trottier's five-course L’abbuffata menu, served family-style, is a true Roman feast for two or more persons. Sweet endings include a classic tiramisu and Italian cheese plate. Quattro’s wine list offers everything from fine Champagnes, reds and whites, mostly from Italy and California, to half bottles and celebratory large formats. Finish with an amaro or artisan vin santo with biscotti for dipping. Service is always discreet and attentive.
