THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES Gilles @ Montage Beverly Hills Restaurant Review:

During the great days of L’Orangerie, a restaurant that will remain forever in the culinary history of the City of Angels, French chef Gilles Epié perfectly integrated the gastronomic habits of the picky Angelenos. Epié is now back in the U.S., in the heart of Beverly Hills, at the luxurious Montage hotel for Gilles @ Montage Beverly Hills. With the kitchen team that includes chef de cuisine Monica Olaes, bearing the darling nickname of Chef Mom, he has created, bien sûr, a très French menu with California influences taking advantage of locally sourced ingredients. A lunch three-course prix-fixe menu, priced at $39, offers a few choices that include French onion soup, scallops in a Provençal lemon butter and floating island. À la carte, you may choose from the pyramid of fried zucchini, the escargots or the duck confit frisée salad in black truffle vinaigrette for appetizers. Continue with the Dover sole meunière, the spaghetti arrabbiata (less of a French touch there) or the filet mignon au poivre with gratin dauphinois. Not to be missed for the sweet ending is the baba au rhum, flambléed table side. While we recommend sitting on the patio overlooking the Beverly Canon Gardens (rather than the dull inside), we also love the beautiful open kitchen where you can dine in total immersion with the chefs. As a nod to L'Orangerie, chef Epié is bringing back les oeufs au caviar.
