Salata Restaurant Review:

This chain of health-conscious self-service restaurants was founded in Houston in 2005. Since then, it has expanded to locations across the Old South. The bright, cheerful interior seems to appeal to a millennial crowd that carefully monitors what it eats. First, decide whether you want a wrap or a salad. In either case, begin with a choice of greens, then as you move along the line, add a variety of toppings. These will increase the price of the salad at the end of the trip, but it won't be substantial, so load up. Salad dressings, the company says, are made in-house from fresh herbs and high-quality oils, and they taste good. Next comes a cup or bowl of soup, such as tomato basil, white bean and broccoli. For dessert, get a freshly made cookie. Calorie counts are available for all dishes. No alcohol is offered, so quaffs are quite sweet fruit drinks and teas. Other locations.
