THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Seven Lions Restaurant Review:

Master sommelier and former "Check, Please!" host Alpana Singh is behind Seven Lions. Smack in the middle of South Michigan Avenue across from Millennium Park and the Art Institute, this rambling space draws everyone from travelers to locals, and power-lunchers to private event hosts. The main central bar with a marble top and crystal chandelier overhead serves as the focal point, with wraparound seating and tables just beyond for a super-open and social, energetic vibe. That said, cocktails and Singh’s hand-selected wines are featured, and they're paired with modern clubhouse dishes, like pan-seared scallops, porterhouse steak and a unique, duck sausage and clam pasta creation with handmade gemelli noodles. Appetizers are more for sharing, from simple shishito peppers to braised octopus, Belgian mussels and assorted charcuterie. Look for comforting, Midwest supper club sides, like pierogi and potato salad, along with homemade bread. There is a rotating selection of seasonal dishes developed by executive chef Chris Curren; for example, expect sweet corn elotes and agnolotti in summer.
