Silver Restaurant Review:

A Silver Diner family eatery, Bethesda’s Silver is an upscale American brasserie that takes the fresh/local food concept of the chef-owner and builds a menu of classy small and big plates. At lunch or dinner, your choices include soups (go for the tomato), entrée salads, burgers and sandwiches, and entrées such as chicken potpie and lemon chicken piccata. If you like a bit of a twist on the sandwich, try the Komex (Korean and Mexican) tacos that are corn tortillas stuffed with avocado, pickled ginger, greens and a choice of meats. Breakfast and brunch fare focus on the usual eggs, french toast, pancakes and omelets, but how about some bison huevos rancheros? Many of the brunch dishes are served all day, so if you crave a caramel french toast, it’s yours. Cocktails, wines, and coffees and soft drinks cover the beverage options, and while you are mulling over which to drink, think long and hard about dessert. The winner is the unusual Mason jar cheesecake.
