Thep Phanom is the city's best Thai restaurant. Don't miss the fried quail or the chicken wings stuffed with glass noodles. The meat salads, particularly the chicken and beef, are dressed with fish sauce, lime and herbs. Try the tom kha gai (chicken stewed in coconut milk with galangal root, lime and chiles) or the larb phed (a fiery salad of ground duck cooled by mint leaves).
